Or ragamuffin. Or orphan. Or motherless soul.
At least, that's what the teachers and students at Sunrise Ridge Intermediate School might be thinking about Jefferson right now.
We discovered yesterday that he ran out of lunch money about one week ago - but he kept forgetting to tell us. So for several lunchtimes, he has begged food off of people or asked one of his friends for a quarter so that he could buy a candy bar.
And to top it off, we realized that Jefferson wore the same shirt to school at least three times last week.
Not only are we the parents who can't afford to feed their kid, but we obviously don't have enough money to buy him extra clothes.
We're lucky that some well-meaning teacher hasn't called social services on us!

I am still laughing! Tanner has done the same thing before.(Well not the same shirt for three days, but the pants for 2).
hahaha! seriously Kim. Haven't we all been there? omgosh. I so relate to this post!
So, how did you end up finding out? We have gone through this with Cooper when he was 7. You're telling me this will continue into the teens?
That's sad! How did you find out?
